The Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Zac Felkey, a Veteran of the US Navy, a graduate of the Bridger Alternative School, a graduate of Montana State University with a degree in Earth Science, and an Individual Ready Reservist with the US Naval Reserve. The scholarship will be awarded this spring and as stipulated in the foundation charter $1000.00 will be the award available for academic year 2010-2011.
To be considered eligible for the Zac Felkey Memorial Scholarship, an applicant must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Applicant must have served in one of the four branches of the military;
- Applicant must have been honorably discharged;
- Applicant must have completed at minimum of 24 undergraduate credits in full-time attendance at Montana State University in Bozeman since FALL semester 2009;
- Applicant must currently be enrolled for at least 7 credits at Montana State University;
- Applicant must have attained a 2.5 or greater cumulative GPA in credits earned at Montana State University;
- Applicant must be enrolled for at least 7 credits fall 2010, as scholarship money will be disbursed in fall 2010.
